Over the years Malta has opened up more on Sunday’s meaning it is just like a normal day.
One of our favourite things to do is spending Sunday morning down at the quaint fishing village of Marsaxlokk located in the south of Malta.
One of the main reasons to come here includes the daily market, it is cute harbour village with the pretty fishing boats lined up. The fishing boats are called Luzzu’s, they are colourful check out the glaring eyes which apparently guard against evil spirits.
Everyday you can go and see the market, however Sunday is the best day to see the village and market. Afterwards you can grab a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants located there or if you prefer to and have a kitchen or bbq at your accomodation you could purchase some fish from one of the many fish stalls and head back to a cook your own lunch.
Other options on a Sunday would be to go on a day trip to Gozo, Comino, walk along one of the coastal routes, relax at the beach or by the pool, do what the locals love to do go out for a nice lunch at one of the many restaurants.
